INFORM is has announced the launch of its Business Book Club starting this month and available for anyone to join.
The first book the company is tackling is Life 3.0: Being Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence by Max Tergmark.
The club is primarily aimed at port and terminal managers and those with an interest in technology within the maritime industry.
Dr. Eva Savelsberg, SVP of INFORM’s Logistic Division added, “the business book club has been on the cards for several months, but we’ve decided to pull it forward in response to COVID19, offering those who are stuck at home a more enriching alternative to binging TV.”
After joining, applicants will receive their first book, print or digital, courtesy of INFORM and are encouraged to get through it before a digital meetup on the last Tuesday of the month; this April, that falls on Tuesday, 28 April 17:00 CEST.
Matthew Wittemeier, Marketing Manager of INFORM’s Logistic Division said, “Most of us are finding ourselves in a new, isolated environment and instead of turning to the TV, we want to encourage people to start an enriching new habit within their confinement at home.”
INFORM noted that the first book, Life 3.0, inspired multiple technical papers including: Demystifying AI, Humans and Technology, Machine Learning in Terminal Operations and the award-winning 2038: A Smart Port Story.
