INFORM has established a joint venture with its long-standing partner Portia LAC in Brazil.
Under the company name “INFORM PORTIA Ltda,” the new company will take over sales, consulting, and support for INFORM software products in Brazil.
The new company is headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil.
“With this joint venture, we are expanding our presence in South America to meet the growing demand for software solutions to optimise business processes,” said Dr. Andreas Meyer, CEO of INFORM GmbH.
“This joint venture is an important building block in our global network. We strive to maintain a relationship with our customers based on partnership and trust. However, this is much more successful if you also have a local presence.”
In addition to its headquarters in Aachen, Germany, and the new joint venture in Brazil, INFORM is represented by five other independent INFORM Group Companies on five continents, located in the USA, Chile, Australia, Singapore, and Portugal.
As a value-added reseller, Portia LAC has been an important partner for INFORM in serving customers in South America.
In addition to INFORM, the former shareholders and executives of Portia LAC are also shareholders in the new joint venture. Among them is the old and new CEO, Luiz Gabriel Roque.
“INFORM Brazil will use its human resources for sales, project management, and customer support of INFORM products,” Roque explained.
“With INFORM, we are gaining the most experienced international specialist in optimising business processes as a partner. Over 1,000 satisfied customers worldwide rely on INFORM software based on intelligent algorithms and AI.
“With the tailwind of the INFORM brand, we will increasingly bring this advanced technology to Brazil to benefit our customers. We thus want to increase our customer base and further expand our market position in Brazil.”
INFORM’s systems provide algorithmic support to intelligently optimise decision-making and planning processes for airline and airport operations, logistics, transportation, personnel deployment, and financial crime-fighting in banking, insurance, and telecommunication.
The survival of many companies depends on their ability to respond with true agility to unpredictable day-to-day challenges.
After all, in the modern business world, volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity are paramount.
INFORM, therefore, provides its customers with powerful tools for operational management when dealing with the unforeseeable.
Long before terms like “artificial intelligence” and “machine learning” were on everyone’s lips, INFORM developed intelligent algorithms for its software products.
They are based on operations research and fuzzy logic, enhanced by machine learning.
The algorithms can evaluate large amounts of data within seconds and calculate the best possible decision for the situation according to predefined criteria.
In this way, INFORM systems transform the available knowledge within companies into concrete recommendations for action.
Well-known companies such as Via Varejo, Volkswagen México, LATAM Airlines, Zurich Insurance, and the Chilean Mercedes-Benz importer Kaufmann are already among their customers in South America.
They have been continuously expanding and renewing their digital decision-making in cooperation with INFORM for several decades.
