Containerisation has expanded exponentially in the last 30 years, with container throughput starting at around 30 million TEU and reaching 600 million in 2014.
In the infographic, Theo displays the growth in both dimensions, showing around a 60% increase in the level of dependency for containerised cargo for Valencia as of 2014.
