An infographic released by maritime advisor and classification society DNV GL, shows the largest ships currently sailing through the oceans across different industries.
PTI previously reported a 50 years of containerships infographic that shows the scale of mega-ship growth since the very first ship was launched in 1968.
Containerships are growing at an exponential rate, with shipping line OOCL recently placing an order for six 21,000 TEU ships.
There has also been speculation that a 24,000 TEU ship could soon be traversing the Earth’s waters.
