A video has emerged of a small cargo ship engulfed in flames at Sharjah’s Port Khalid, UAE, on May 8, 2019.

It appears to show what is believed to be a small cargo ship, which was carrying mainly vehicles and tires, burning while berthed at the port.

According to reports, 13 Indian seafarers were rescued from the vessel, none of which needed medical attention.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze but it was almost completely destroyed. As well as its cargo of tires and vehicles, it also carried 6,000 gallons of diesel.

In March 2019, PTI reported that thousands of Audi and Porsche sports cars had sunk after the Grimaldi-owned Grande America caught fire in the mid-Atlantic.
