ICTSI Basra acquires Konecranes' new mobile harbour crane

Basra Gateway Container Terminal (BGT), an International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) facility at the Port of Umm Qasr, Iraq, has received a new Konecranes Gottwald ESP.8 mobile harbour crane.

With a 125-tonne lifting capacity and a 54-metre boom, the crane can serve vessels up to the post-Panamax class, enhancing BGT’s operating capabilities.

This new acquisition is part of BGT’s ongoing commitment to modernising Iraq’s busiest port and providing customers with dependable, sustainable service.

Recently, Terminales Marítimas de Vigo, S.L.U. (Termavi) ordered two hybrid Konecranes Rubber-Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes equipped with the complete range of Konecranes Smart Features.

MICT also received eight hybrid Rubber-Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes with near-zero emission technology this month.
