HTS and Dalosy Industrial Systems merge
- HTS and Dalosy Industrial Systems (DIS) form Certus Port Automation to provide port automation solutions
Two of the world’s leading automation specialists have merged to form Certus Port Automation, providing logistics, security, IT and terminal process design solutions.
HTS and Dalosy Industrial Systems (DIS), specialists in Optical Character Recognition, image processing technology and systems integration and automation software, have worked together for more than five years providing automation solutions.
In a statement, the companies said Certus will be better positioned to serve its global customers and markets with a comprehensive, integrated solution, a single source for all port automation and security needs and the most comprehensive offering available to the market.
“We are very excited to announce the formation of Certus. Our primary goal for the new company is to continually enhance the solutions and services we provide the industry by not just responding to market needs, but proactively anticipating them,” said Phil Elovic, president and CEO of HTS.
The newly formed company will allow customers to manage their environments via its proprietary centralised operating platform helping to make them more efficient and cost effective.
The new company will be headquartered near Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Around 750 systems have been jointly installed by HTS and DIS in more than 50 terminals in 25 countries throughout North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Three full port technology implementations have been deployed including yard and quay automation.
