HPNT recognised following extensive productivity assessment of Busan’s box terminals
Busan Port Authority (BPA) has chosen Hyundai Pusan New-Port Terminal (HPNT) as its ‘Terminal of the Year’ for 2012 and for the second consecutive year.
The award follows an assessment of port productivity by port and logistic experts at all 10 container terminals in the Port of Busan.
HPNT handled 1.986 million TEU last year, and recorded 26 percent growth year on year. In addition, HPNT received high score from appraisers for increasing productivity by efficient yard operation and optimal unloading process.
Hanjin Newport Co. (HJNC) was chosen as an ‘Excellent productivity terminal in Newport’ for its continuous effort to increase cargo volume and productivity, while
Dongbu Pusan Container Terminal (DPCT) received the same accolade in North Port.
Elsewhere, Pusan Newport Co. Ltd. (PNC) will receive a special award for its effort to improve port facilities.
