A video released by CCTV news via YouTube shows the impact that China’s ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative will have on regional trade.

Using 2D animation, the narrator explains that the scheme took shape when China agreed to invest US$45 billion into Pakistan to create the China-Pakistan economic corridor.

In H1, 2015 China is said to have invested in 48 countries involved in the One Belt, One Road initiative.

It was previously reported that China has promised to increase trade by US$2.5 trillion, which is more than the value of Chinese exports in 2013.
