Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) has introduced a new service that will provide a direct connection from Far East Asia to the East Coast of Latin America.

The new route, called Far East Asia — East Latin America Service 2 (FL2), will function with HMM and Ocean Network Express (ONE).

The port rotation is as follows: South China, Singapore, Rio Grande, Santos, Santa Catarina, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Busan.

In addition, HMM reported that it will provide a dedicated River Plate feeder route to Argentina and Uruguay via Rio Grande with faster transit times.

An HMM official said: “With the introduction of the FL2 service, we will provide our customers with more efficient and reliable service, following Far East-India-Latin America (FIL) service, and we will continue to enhance our presence in the East Latin America market that has a high potential for future growth and development.”

In December 2024, HMM announced the launch of a new India North Europe Express (INX) service, offering a direct connection from Western India to Northern Europe.
