HHLA TK Estonia welcomes biggest Ro-Ro vessels to date

HHLA Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) TK Estonia terminal has set a new record by welcoming the biggest RoRo vessels to call at the terminal.

The three vessels in question are Finnlines’ Finnsky, Finnbreeze, and Finneco, which departed from Travemünde Port in Germany and visited Muuga on seven occasions.

During their stay, a total of 1,400 units of trucks, trailers, containers, and new passenger vehicles were unloaded, and 730 units were loaded according to HHLA.

The hybrid vessel Finneco II, which is one of the newest additions to Finnlines’ RoRo fleet, was among the vessels that called at the terminal.

The 238-metre-long vessel has been awarded a “Green Plus” environmental certificate by the international classification society RINA. The ship, commissioned in the summer of 2022, uses 5 MW power banks during port calls, allowing it to reach zero emissions at that time.

HHLA recently released full-year results for 2022, announcing a revenue increase by 7.7 per cent from 2021 to almost €1.58 billion ($1.7 billion).

The Group operating result (EBIT) decreased by 3.4 per cent to €220.4 million ($240 million) from its 2021 figure of €228.2 million ($248 million).
