German ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd has announced the introduction of a new service in Asia with flexible port coverage.
The new Vietnam Indonesia Straits (VIS) service will begin in April replacing Hapag-Lloyd’s VNF and SPL services.
The rotation of the VIS service is as follows: Cat Lai – Singapore – Port Kelang – Belawan – Penang – Port Kelang – Singapore – Cat Lai.

This announcement comes less than a month after Shell Western LNG B.V. (Shell) and Hapag-Lloyd signed a multi-year agreement to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Hapag-Lloyd’s ultra-large container vessels.
