A video released by the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) shows part two of its outlook for 2016, in which it discusses digitalisation and how projects relating to this initiative are aiming to drive port efficiency.

Technical Paper: The smart Port of Hamburg

Jens Meier, CEO of the HPA spoke with reporters, where upcoming projects such as slot management were conferred, in a bid to better coordinate arrival and departure times.

A second project, called ‘Port Protect’, involves using digital resources to protect against flooding and natural disasters.
