French Ports launch post-COVID support programme

A very large container ship is being towed to the English channel from the harbor at Le Havre along the Seine river

The HAROPA group of French Ports will help its customers in relaunching their business activities through the Unified HAROPA Support Programme (Programme Unique de Soutien by HAROPA), also known as PUSH.

Right from the outset in the public health crisis, HAROPA mobilised to support its customers by implementing business continuity plans and maintaining a day-to-day watch over service provision, enabling it to guarantee the operational integrity of its port activities, the group said in a statement.

From Paris to Le Havre, including Rouen, continuing provision of all services essential to maintenance of the supply chain has been duly assured.

This simultaneously involves provision of a business information centre for all industrial sectors, maintenance of a constant watch over port, maritime and multimodal service provision, the offer of specific support for efforts to find logistics solutions and dedicated customer services.

This single point of contact will make it possible to identify need and support firms using experts and a network embedded alongside the major international economic zones.

“The aim now must be to focus our efforts and plan for what happens next. It is because we have to heart the concerns of our customers on a day-to-day basis that PUSH has been designed to allow them to better prepare the relaunch of their businesses by standing shoulder-to-shoulder with them.

“We want this dedicated scheme to create the necessary conditions for a return to growth” said Laurent Foloppe, HAROPA Sales and Marketing Director.

HAROPA will make its expertise available and provide specific services and practical responses within guaranteed timeframes to match customers’ actual needs, on +33 (0)2 32 74 72 06 or at

HAROPA, the 5th largest port complex in Northern Europe, is a joint venture between the ports of Le Havre, Rouen and Paris.

HAROPA handles over 120 million tons of cargo by sea and waterway each year. HAROPA business represents 160,000 jobs.
