Flanders Terminal at the Port of Dunkirk has experienced a more than double increase in containers handled for the month of November since 2019.

Terminal Des Flandres (TDF), the container terminal at the French port, handled 69,000 TEU in November 2021, a significant increase on the 31,000 TEU handled in November 2019.

“Volumes are expected to continue to grow over time with DLI’s new storage capacities, industrial projects under development on the industrial-port complex and the growing attractiveness of the port of Hauts-de-France,” TDF wrote in a social media post.

“Thank you to the TDF teams, shippers, shipping companies and logistics professionals who stimulate this traffic.”

PTI spoke to the Port of Dunkirk’s Emmanuelle Verger, Chair of the Board of Trustees, earlier this year on priorities for the port complex moving forward.
