Four crew members remain unaccounted for. No Singaporeans are among the crew.

The Indian Coast Guard and Navy have been notified and are actively assisting with crew support and search-and-rescue efforts for the missing personnel.

MPA is in close contact with the vessel’s management company, is monitoring the situation, and will be conducting an investigation into the incident.

The news follows a recent incident on June 6, when the MPA reported that the barge Marco Polo 802 ran aground off Tanjong Beach, Sentosa, with no reports of damage, injuries, or pollution. A few hours after the incident, MPA reported that the barge Marco Polo 802, which had run aground off Tanjong Beach, was safely towed to an anchorage for inspection and investigation.
