“With regard to a further production increase, it is necessary to focus on high productivity, ie high stacking, fast operation and also automation,” said Michael Geiger, sales director at Kuenz, in the latest exclusive interview brought to you by PTI and filmed on location during TOC Europe 2014.
Kuenz informed PTI that the main advantage to the business in its industry is intermodal capabilities, and with a large number of engineers working on its team, they are able to develop products continuously and thereby improve operational efficiencies and productivity.
Kuenz believes that most cargo should be transported by rail with inter-modal handling points before and after the Alps, as well as at seaports in order to avoid traffic between the hinterlands and the ports.
