A video released by Hyperloop One shows the Memorandum of Understanding, which was signed between the heads of DP World and Hyperloop One on Monday August 15, 2016.
The agreement was signed to facilitate the exploration of the Hyperloop One technology and its applications in creating an easier cargo handling and transportation system from Jebel Ali Port to inland.
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of DP World, spoke at the signing of how combining Hyperloop’s knowledge of cargo transportation and DP World’s knowledge of cargo systems could create more efficient environment.
Sultan bin Sulayem said: “How efficient we can be is how successful we can be.”
However, the partnership could be affected by the recent delay of the expansion of Jebel Ali Port, which DP World blames on softer market conditions.
