DP World has released a year in review video for 2017 that highlights its important developments.
The port operator has completed many terminal expansions including Canada’s Port of Prince Rupert, which can now accommodate megaships after DP World finished construction work at the Fairview Container Terminal in Canada.
The first ever UK to China export train also departed from DP World London Gateway’s rail terminal in South Essex.
DP World also opened its fully automated Qingdao terminal.
PTI covered its development in the ‘Qingdao Terminal: Fully Automated to Welcome Megaships’ technical paper.
DP World is also investing Hyperloop to move cargo in smarter ways.
Its video description stated: “Looking back on 2017, it’s been another successful year for DP World as we enabled trade in all our regions, continued to grow, innovate and deliver stellar service.
“We’re looking forward to 2018 being another great year for our business and the future of global trade.”
