DP World Believes in Liege Vision

DP World has recently announced that it will take full-ownership of a 100ha container terminal at Liege Port in Belgium, which was previously owned by EuroPorts, in a bid to create synergies between a terminal that it operates in Grobbendonk, Antwerp.

DP World has shown much interest in foreign investment, having recently announced that it will spend between US$1.4bn and $1.9bn in 2015 on various international projects.

In the Arabian Supply Chain, Louis Bertrand, Director General of the Liège Port Authority, said “DP World supports our strategy to connect Antwerp and Rotterdam to Germany, the Netherlands and France via Liège”.

DP World had a successful year in 2014 as it unveiled the most advanced semi-automated container terminal in Brisbane, Australia, as well as receiving the title for best seaport in the Middle East for Jebel Ali Port in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
