DP World Australia has found two new managers for its terminal operations in Melbourne and Sydney.
The new recruits are both taking positions as General Manager Operations, with Robert Snow joining DP World Australia’s Melbourne Terminal, on October 30, 2017, and Bas Hokke taking up his position at the Sydney Terminal on November 22, 2017.
Snow previously worked with APM Terminals where he was Chief Operations Officer for the Aqaba Container Terminal, Jordan.
Prior to that, he worked in Egypt at the Suez Canal Container Terminal.
Hokke will provide more than three decades of global ports experience to DP World Australia's operations.
He joins from Asian Terminals Incorporated (ATI), part of the DP World Group in the Philippines, where he is currently serving out his term as Vice President Group Operations.
In his six years with ATI, Hokke handled the Manila, Batangas and Laguna business units.
Prior to ATI, Hokke worked with APM Terminals as Chief Operations Officer at Salalah and General Manager Operations at Pelepas.
Max Kruse, Chief Operations Officer, Terminals, DP World Australia, said: “For some time, our Melbourne and Sydney terminals have been under the temporary stewardship of Rowan Bullock and Ray Lee, as we conducted a global search for new General Managers Operations.
“Rowan and Ray will provide a detailed handover to the new General Managers Operations, and will continue to lend us their knowledge and experience through an ongoing working relationship with the Operations Team, beyond their respective departures.”
