DP World named Port Company of the Year
DP World has received the award for Port Company of the Year for the third year in a row at the 2025 Multimodal Awards in Birmingham.

The company also won Sustainability Company of the Year for its sector-leading environmental initiatives, while its digital trade subsidiary Community Network Services (CNS) was named Customs Technology Partner of the Year.

The awards mark a milestone year for DP World in the UK, with the opening of the £350 million ($475.8 million) all-electric fourth berth at London Gateway, 100,000 containers moved by rail as part of the Modal Shift Programme, and more than 150,000 containers registered on the world’s first Carbon Inset Programme.

CNS was recognised for its cloud-based customs and freight management services, which streamline supply chain workflows and customs, giving businesses full visibility of their entire cargo journey from source to destination.

Ernst Schulze, DP World Ports & Terminals Lead for Northern Europe, said: “We take great pride in leading the way in efficiency and sustainability within the UK logistics sector, and I’m delighted that this triple recognition from Multimodal reflects the outstanding efforts of our teams at London Gateway, Southampton, and CNS over the past year.”

“Our goal is to remain at the forefront of global digital trade innovation and continue to give our customers a genuine competitive advantage, ensuring their supply chain journeys are smoother and more efficient to manage.”

Last week, Maritime Transport launched a new rail freight service connecting DP World Southampton with its Strategic Rail Freight Interchange (SRFI) at SEGRO Logistics Park Northampton.
