DP World has announced it will expand its e-commerce platform Dubuy.com in Africa, with launches in both Ghana and Zambia.
Dubuy.com provides advanced technology and secure transactions for wholesale traders, and the latest roll-out will open access to global supply chains for even more African businesses, said the company.

DP World provides its digital solutions through physical infrastructure across Africa, such as the port at Maputo and its connections with East and South Africa, to provide these digital solutions. On the West Coast, the company currently serves port-centric logistics solutions through Senegal and Angola.
With Dubuy.com already offered in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Tanzania, Rwanda and Kenya, the latest launches aim to offer additional strategic trading gateways for the region, both physically and digitally.

In the field of digitalisation, DP World recently signed an agreement with container analytics company ConexBird to undertake a proof-of-concept (POC) project at Jebel Ali Port to install and operate its brand-new container monitoring solution.
ConexBird has developed and patented its system to measure the physical condition of shipping containers, whilst they are being lifted by container cranes.
