Dahua’s megapixel IP solution has been installed to increase security at the Arabian Centre, an 80,000m2 shopping and entertainment venue in Dubai.

The company supplied 342 units of its 2MP Eco-Savvy network cameras, with different models applied to different applications.

The 3MP PTZ domeshave a wider view to allow a broader surveillance area, making the camera more efficient.

The whole system runs on Dahua Smart PSS (CMS software) to allow centralised control and management.

Dahua claims its Megapixel IP solution stands out from other brands, and offers a complete video solution, including megapixel networkcameras, storage devices and a central management system.

In addition, Dahua’s network WDR functions use in-house algorithms for better image performance, especially given the heat and humidity of Dubai. With all-year bright sunshine, WDR is said to be especially suited to camera installation at entrances and exits.

In terms of storage,  22 units of 32-channel network video recorders are used with 2TB Seagate hard disks to guarantee large-volume storage..

Preetham Moras, sales manager of local distributor Gulf Detection said: “This is Dahua’s first high-end case in Dubai, and the mall Board didn’t have an open attitude to a Chinese brand.  They used to like some other Korean brands, but they soon changed their minds after serious and rigid testing of Dahua’s NVR.”

Steve Wang, Middle East sales manager for Dahua Technology said: “This shows that Dahua’s branding is based on its product performance and quality, with the brand becoming more enhanced in the region.”
