PTI is pleased to reveal that Bob Post, Director of Terminal Automation at Royal HaskoningDHV, will discuss effective ways of automating existing terminals at this year’s Container Terminal Automation Conference.
Throughout his career, which has included stints at P&O Nedlloyd and leading ocean carrier Maersk, Post has developed industry-leading expertise in driving performance with smart IT solutions, as well as gaining 15 years of experience in heading up terminal automation projects.
For the “Automating Existing Terminals” session at #CTAC19, Post will join experts from ABB and TBA Group, among others, to offer his special knowledge of retrofitting brownfield sites into automated terminals, both from a technological and organizational perspective.
A finalized agenda for #CTAC19, including all the sessions and speakers featured at this year’s event, can be downloaded today.
As PTI highlighted in a recent insight, the retrofitting of existing terminals to become either semi-automated or fully automated is increasing in popularity.
The session, which also includes Virginia International Terminals’ project leader Rich Ceci, will assess the potential benefits of this approach, taking into account real-world examples and best industry practices to uncover real solutions.
