COSCO Shipping Lines received its latest 20,000 TEU containership on April 10, 2018, built and delivered by Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co. (DSIC).

COSCO Shipping’s Chief Financial Officer Ms Sun Yueyin christened the vessel, at a ceremony attended by various industry officials; including the President of the China Shipbuilding Industry Corporate, Mr Sun Bo, Party Secretary of COSCO Shipping Lines, Mr Quan Weizhong, and Chairman and Party Secretary of DSIC, Mr Liu Zheng.

The ship, named COSCO SHIPPING GEMINI, has an overall length of 400m — the length of four football fields – and is 58.6m wide at the widest point.
