Cosco Ship Sets Sail for First Panama Transit

A video published by the Panama Canal shows a report of the Cosco Shipping Panama setting sail on the Port of Piraeus en route to the expanded Panama Canal.

The canal is due to be inaugurated on Sunday June 26, 2016, and Cosco will be the first ship to officially transit the new locks.

The neo-Panamax vessel will make the inaugural transit of the expanded Panama Canal after a 14-day journey.
