COSCO SHIPPING unveils new Far East to South America West Coast service

COSCO SHIPPING Chancay Port has begun trial operations after successfully unloading new energy vehicles and other transport products from the M.V. COSCO SHIPPING Honor and M.V. COSCO Teng Fei.

The maiden voyage of M.V. COSCO Teng Fei, carrying 2,756 vehicles, embarked from Shanghai to Chancay, Peru, and other South American destinations, inaugurating COSCO SHIPPING automobile carrier fleet’s direct Far East-South America West Coast service.

Simultaneously, M.V. COSCO SHIPPING Honor completed the discharge of equipment and frame containers within a single day before successfully departing from Chancay Port.

This new route became the fourth liner service launched by the company, following the successful establishment of routes to the Persian Gulf, Southeast Africa, and Europe.

This newly introduced route will offer a monthly sailing schedule, primarily calling at Chancay, Peru, and San Antonio, Chile. Additionally, it will include ports of call in Colombia, Ecuador, and other countries within the region, adapting to market demands.

While promoting the direct “Shanghai-Chancay” route, Yuanhai Car Carrier is committed to enhancing the comprehensive automotive logistics supply chain services around Chancay Port.

The company aims to provide customers with tailored solutions, including warehousing, Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI), distribution, and an array of value-added services designed to meet diverse needs.

Earlier this week, COSCO Shipping, CP Group Co., Ltd., and Freepoint Commodities inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the production of green methanol.
