The MV Madrid Bridge container vessel from Ocean Network Express (ONE) has suffered a container collapse in the North Atlantic Ocean.

The 13,900 TEU ship was serving in the shipping lines East Coast 4 (EC4) service when it suffered a container collapse when on route to its next port of call in New York on 7 January 2022.

“Our immediate priorities are to ensure the safety of the crew, the vessel and the cargo on board. Delays to the vessel’s schedule are expected,” said ONE in a recent customer advisory.

“Investigations are currently ongoing and further information will be provided once available.”

ONE has also recently unveiled a new service connecting Singapore and Nhava Sheva, India.

The new weekly Singapore India Express (SIX) Service, launched on 13 December from Singapore, will enhance the coverage of the India market, bringing more options and greater flexibility to ONE’s customers.

SIX service rotation is as follows: Singapore – Nhava Sheva – Singapore.
