The 664 TEU vessel operated by Fujian Huarong Marine Shipping departed on 12 May from Suzhou Modern Terminals in Taicang, China and was due to arrive in Keelung, Taiwan on 14 May.

In the afternoon of 13 May, the vessel reportedly suffered from a fire in the engine room about 20 miles northeast of Zhujiajian Island, Zhoushan.
