CMA CGM, the fourth largest ocean carrier in the world, has announced the launch of CMA CGM eSolutions, a “digital ecosystem” for the transmission of data between the shipping company and its customers.
According to a statement, most of CMA CGM’s bookings are made through its eCommerce solutions, while half of those are completed on the company’s web platform.
The eSolutions platform will now enable customers to experience an entirely digital journey when they transport their goods and containers with CMA CGM.

This sales channel is expected to ease that journey, allowing transporters to improve productivity and further develop their business.
New features currently available at a regional or global level, such as real-time access to rates and instant quotations, will be gradually rolled out on the different platforms of CMA CGM Group’s brands.
Also included as part of eSolutions is a fully digital bill of lading, simplified autocomplete booking, and “eTracking”, giving users visibility of their cargo with an updated time of arrival.
In addition to eSolutions, CMA CGM will now offer priority boarding to its customers using its digital platform, allowing them to secure space on board for more efficient planning and a smoother supply chain.
The launch of the platform aligns with CMA CGM’s digitization strategy, an ongoing initiative to develop innovations and explore new technologies such as blockchain, AI, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
