CMA CGM scraps two port calls from Veneziola shuttle service

Mersin, Turkey - Mar 21, 2017: The container vessel CMA CGM IVANHOE is loaded/unloaded at the container terminal  Mersin Internatıonal Port on Mar 2017, 21. The vessel is owned by CMA CGM.

CMA CGM has suspended its calls to the Ports of Guanta and El Guamache on its Veneziola Shuttle service.

The change to the service comes with immediate effect and the carrier has said it will take the necessary measures to connect cargo already in transit to the newly omitted ports as timely as possible.

The revised port rotation is as follows: Kingston (Jamaica) – Willemstad (Curaçao) – La Guairá (Venezuela) – Puerto Cabello (Venezuela) – Cartagena (Colombia).

The CMA CGM Group also recently started a new weekly intermodal container service from Trieste (Italy) to Eastern Europe.

In collaboration with its subsidiary CEVA Logistics, the CMA CGM Group kicked off the new service with an initial block train operated at the Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG‘s Italian multi-purpose terminal Piattaforma Logistica Trieste (HHLA PLT Italy) on 4 June.
