CMA CGM – Short Sea Lines Division has announced a new butterfly Morocco Shuttle service launching between Morocco, France, and Spain.
The new weekly service will kick off on 10 November from Agadir, Morocco.
The carrier said the new connection will help to address Moroccan cabotage and implement a sustainable maritime bridge between Agadir and Port Vendres, France allowing a 75 per cent decrease in CO2 emissions compared to traditional truck modal.
The connection will be served by two 1,100 TEU Moroccan-flagged vessels and 220 reefer plugs with 45’RFH intake.
The rotation will be the following:
Agadir / Port Vendres / Barcelona / Algeciras / Tanger Med / Casablanca / Agadir.
The transit time from Agadir to Port Vendres will stand at 3.5 days.
