CMA CGM has announced the extension of its GUYANAS services to the port of Saint Laurent du Maroni in French Guiana.
This announcement came on 1 February.
The GUYANAS 2 service, which serves Georgetown, Guyana, on a weekly basis, will offer a monthly call in Saint Laurent du Maroni, French Guiana, with vessel CEDRIC K.
The first call in Saint Laurent du Maroni will take place on 23 March after it calls in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, on 17 March.
Exporters from Saint Laurent du Maroni will benefit from the worldwide coverage offered by CMA CGM Lines network via Port of Spain.

The Saint Laurent du Maroni port has a number of constraints, however, including a maximum authorised weight of 26 tonnes per container.
The port can only accommodate vessels with a maximum shallow draught of 4.5 metres, thereby limiting the port’s cargo volume.
Reefers are also only accepted at the Saint Laurent du Maroni port if removal is operated under ship’s tackle by the customer.
This announcement comes shortly after CMA CGM launched a new intermodal solution in Indonesia through the capital, Jakarta.
