CLdN concludes infrastructure expansion at Liverpool terminal
CLdN has confirmed the successful completion of its multimillion-pound investment at the Brocklebank terminal in the Port of Liverpool.

The logistics company stated that a new gate setup and terminal operating system would improve the customer experience while dropping off and picking up cargo.

These investments, which include the enlargement of a RoRo linkspan, are enabling CLdN’s ambitions to boost capacity on the Liverpool-Dublin route.

The quayside upgrades will allow larger, more environmentally friendly ships to utilise the facility.

CLdN currently operates 17 return sailings a week between Liverpool and Dublin, providing an essential link for freight between Great Britain and Ireland as well as transhipment connections from Spain.

Commenting on the investment, Florent Maes, Chief Executive Officer of CLdN, said: “This upgrade to our Liverpool terminal is part of a wave of major investments in our UK port infrastructure.

“The investment will provide tangible benefits to customers, create opportunities for skilled jobs in Liverpool and further reduce the carbon intensity of our operations by allowing larger ships to be deployed on the Liverpool-Dublin route.”

Recently, CLdN increased the frequency and freight capacity on its Zeebrugge-Teesport route
