Circle S.p.A. has announced the signing of a new contract valued at €200,000 ($231,000) to further develop its Extended Port Community System.
The contract, which will run for approximately 12 months, forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the digital infrastructure of Italy’s ports and intermodal logistics sectors.
The Extended Port Community System aims to connect all stakeholders in the logistics chain – including ports, inland terminals, transport operators, and public authorities – in real time, thereby improving the integrated management of both information and goods flows.
Circle Group’s platform reportedly introduces innovative solutions for advanced notice management, real-time tracking, application interoperability, and cybersecurity compliance.
These features are intended to support the transformation of Italian ports towards safer, more sustainable, and efficient logistics, aligning with the latest European regulations such as the NIS2 Directive.

“We are proud to contribute concretely to the adaptation of the port system to the most advanced European standards, as per the ‘Connect 4 Agile Growth’ business plan.”
The new contract further strengthens Circle Group’s position as a key partner in the digital transition of Mediterranean ports.
The company continues to support the development of interconnected, federated, and operationally efficient logistics, reinforcing its role in the region’s ongoing digital transformation.
