CIMC SSC has announced plans to showcase the result of a new technological partnership at the Port of Shenzhen.

A subsidiary of China International Marine Container Company Ltd, CIMC announced the plan to showcase a new technological partnership with Globe Tracker International, ApS (GT) at the Chinese port.

The accord hopes to combine the breadth and scale of CIMCs advanced technologies with that of Danish-based GT – specialists in global “end-to-end” supply chain visibility solutions.

The two companies will work in tandem, installing GT’s latest communications unit into a number of CIMCTC designed containers, trucks, trailers, railway carts and terminals at the Port of Shenzhen.

Both companies hope that the showcase will fully demonstrate vast improvements to functionality and a number of operations port-wide.

Speaking of the showcase, GT CEO Jim Davis said “This project fully endorses GT’s solution as the world’s leading tracking technology and begins a new era in asset management and monitoring for containers, trucks and railway cars and their touch points globally.”

“Our Asian Showcase will demonstrate significant increases in efficiency and utilization for all assets across all Intermodal spaces.”

CIMCTC’s Dr. Shouqin Zhou said “we are pleased to be working with Globe Tracker to demonstrate this exciting technology for the Asian marketplace.”

CIMCTC initially began with a focus on container design, but has since begun expanding into all faucets of logistics. The company currently guides 863 key projects nationwide, whilst also providing a number of key scientific and technological studies.

GT is a leading provider of data sharing, analytics global asset tracking and monitoring services and equipment.

The project will begin this month and is expected to be completed by May.
