CentrePort Wellington has announced the appointment of Jason McDonald to the Board of CentrePort Limited in New Zealand.
Lachie Johnstone, Chairman of CentrePort, stated that McDonald will be a valuable addition to the board due to his extensive expertise of the energy and infrastructure industries.
Johnstone said: “Jason joins us with more than 30 years’ experience in the electricity industry. This will provide crucial insights to the Board that can support CentrePort’s energy journey.
“He also brings technology and infrastructure investment knowledge, which will support CentrePort’s overall development and strategic direction.”

McDonald is a Director, Strategist, and Governance Consultant located in Wellington with a strong background in the energy business.
He presently serves as an Independent Director of the Wellington-based power distributor Orion, the electrical design, construction, and maintenance firm Connetics, and First Gas.
He was formerly a Director and Chair of the car-sharing business Mevo, as well as an Independent Director of the power distributor Top Energy and the transport provider Red Bus.
McDonald will join the Board on 1 September.
