cargo-partner reveals LCL Service from Tokyo to CEE
cargo-partner, in cooperation with Nippon Express, has launched its LCL service, which provides shipping solutions from Japan to multiple destinations in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE).

Responding to growing demand for LCL transport, this new “Vienna Consolidation” service leverages cargo-partner’s well-integrated network in the CEE region and addresses growing demand for cost-effective, reliable shipping options from Japan to CEE.

The Vienna Consolidation service was developed to provide a seamless connection between Japan and 26 destinations across Central and Eastern Europe, including Vienna, Graz, Linz, Innsbruck, Zagreb, Bratislava, Prague, Budapest, Warsaw and Poznan.

Shipments from major Japanese hubs (Yokohama, Nagoya, Kobe, Hakata and Moji) are trucked to Tokyo for consolidation and then shipped directly to Hamburg before being moved to Vienna for final distribution. This setup reportedly ensures streamlined cargo handling, optimised transit times, and comprehensive market coverage.

From origin to destination, cargo-partner and the Nippon Express Group (NX Group) oversee all aspects of the transport process. Upon arrival in Hamburg, containers are transferred to the Vienna CFS (Container Freight Station), where they are unloaded, sorted, and prepared for delivery to their final destinations.

The Vienna Consolidation service reportedly offers significant benefits, such as improved transit times, enhanced cargo visibility, and flexible consolidation options – all designed to provide customers with a more efficient and reliable shipping experience.

This time last year, cargo-partner extended its partnership with the HHLA Pure programme for another year across its branches in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary.
