Camco Technologies has joined the Belgian King and Queen during a historic state visit and celebrated the launch of Vietnam’s first semi-automated container terminal at Haiphong Port.
From 31 March to 4 April, Camco Technologies participated in the Belgian royal delegation’s state visit to Vietnam, led by King Philippe and Queen Mathilde.
Camco was represented by CEO Jan Bossens and Camco Asia’s CEO Abby Zhang. The visit began with the opening of the DeepC administrative building by the royals and included a high-level business luncheon, where Jan Bossens was invited to the main VIP table alongside King Philippe and other leading Belgian industry figures.
During the visit, discussions centred on sustainability, port automation, and digital transformation. The engagement also fostered deeper cooperation with Vietnamese institutions, including the Ministry of Construction, and strengthened ties with Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT).

The highlight of the visit was the launch of Vietnam’s first semi-automated container terminal at Haiphong Port.
Camco Technologies played a role in supporting this development, which represents a major step forward in the digital transformation of the country’s port sector.
