The Busan Port Authority (BPA) has commissioned Dutch construction firm Hercuton to develop a sustainable logistics warehouse of 30,000 square metres on the Maasvlakte West Distribution Park in the Port of Rotterdam.
In a statement, the Port of Rotterdam said the announcement follows on from an agreement it struck with the BPA and Samsung SDS earlier in 2020 to develop the warehouse.

It is expected to be completed in the second part of 2021, at which point Samsung SDS will be responsible for operation and management for 10 years.
The warehouse will be built to provide comprehensive logistics services for small and medium-sized companies conducting business between Europe and South Korea.
The development is the latest collaboration between the BPA and Rotterdam. In June 2019 the BPA agreed to open a 20,000-square metre warehouse on the Maasvlakte Distribution Park West, in the Port of Rotterdam.
Hercuton is one of the biggest construction firms in The Netherlands and has built logistics centres across the country, servicing a growing base of e-commerce customers.
