Bromma has announced that both its sale and order intake grew in the first half of 2018, compared to same period of 2017.

The strong intake is in line with signals from other industry sources, who are projecting a positive outlook for the future.

In addition, the company’s market position has been maintained at a very high market share, despite some geographical variations.

The North American market has continued to be especially strong for Bromma, while order intake in the Asia-Pacific region is also significantly higher than the first half of 2017.

In terms of larger orders received between January and June 2018, Bromma is now scheduled to deliver 12 STS45 spreaders to Eagle Marine Services in Los Angeles, as well as 17 YSX40E yard spreaders to Malta Freeport.

Lars Meurling, Marketing Director of Bromma, commented: “It is obvious that there is a level of optimism in the industry today. I hear it in conferences I have visited recently, I read it in available market data and I see it in our order intake.

“The replacement market is starting to contribute significantly to the orders and the available market for us. We have been predicting this for some time now and are well prepared to support our customers when the need arises.”
