BOXBAY has announced the appointment of Christoph Roth as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
He succeeds Dr. Mathias Dobner, who will become Chairman of the Supervisory Board and focus on establishing strategic collaborations.
Roth, who also serves as Vice President of Port Logistics for SMS Group, began his career in Group Controlling at SMS Schloemann-Siemag (later SMS Group GmbH).
In the years that followed, he oversaw the growth of SMS group’s Technical Services section and joined the management team of AMOVA GmbH, SMS group’s intralogistics firm.
The new management team will be responsible for developing projects and executing them profitably and effectively.
Christoph Roth, said: “BOXBAY has already achieved some remarkable milestones. We have received our first commercial order from the industry and we have set a clear course for the years ahead. My task is to focus on the strategic development of the company. I am very much looking forward to my new role and to working with the new team.”
Dr. Mathias Dobner, Chairman of the Advisory Board, BOXBAY, stated: “Christoph has been on board since the very beginning of BOXBAY. When the HBS reached market maturity he was involved in our worldwide commercialisation phase.
“Now it is important to join forces and turn the many customer requests that have reached us into concrete projects. Apart from that, the continuous development of the technology is essential.”
In March 2023, DP World implemented BOXBAY’s high-bay storage (HBS) system at its terminal in Busan, South Korea.
