Awake.AI and Fintraffic Vessel Traffic Services Ltd. have scaled up their AI-powered Port Call ETA Prediction and Event Monitoring Service across the Baltic Sea region.
The service, which uses AI to estimate vessel arrival times and monitor key maritime events, is intended to support improved coordination among stakeholders in the port logistics chain. It provides real-time predictions for events such as berth arrivals and pilot boarding, using a combination of historical AIS data, live vessel traffic, routing inputs, and weather conditions.
According to the partners, the system is designed to facilitate Just-In-Time (JIT) port operations by offering continuously updated data via a standardised API.

This is expected to support improved planning and operational efficiency for ports, terminal operators, shipping lines, and hinterland transport providers, while potentially reducing idle times and emissions.
Although the service is not yet available throughout the entire Baltic Sea region, configurations for additional countries are currently in progress.
The platform allows authorised users to add new ETA points and event monitoring locations as required.
Fintraffic and Awake.AI state that the gradual regional rollout aims to improve situational awareness and information-sharing among maritime and logistics organisations.
In April, StormGeo partnered with Awake.AI to deliver AI-powered port analytics to its clients.
