Kalmar has secured a repeat order from Forth Ports Group for three hybrid straddle carriers to be deployed at Forth Ports Grangemouth.
The order, recorded in Kalmar’s Q4 2025 intake, is scheduled for delivery by Q2 2026.
Forth Ports Grangemouth, Scotland’s largest port, handles 9 million tonnes of cargo annually across its container, liquid, and general cargo terminals, including fine food and drink, machinery, fuel, steel, timber, paper, and oil and gas equipment.
The new hybrid straddle carriers will complement six identical machines ordered earlier in Q1 2025 for deployment at the London Container Terminal.
The hybrid technology significantly reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared with traditional diesel machines, while also lowering noise levels.
