EAIGLE has announced a strategic partnership with PortCity to expand the use of its gate and yard automation platform across PortCity’s distribution network.
The collaboration will focus on reducing manual processes at the gate and in the yard, improving driver experience and providing real-time visibility across logistics operations.
PortCity will use EAIGLE’s Automated Vehicles Access Control (AVAC) system, which applies computer vision AI to existing facility camera infrastructure. According to EAIGLE, the system automates asset identification and tracking without requiring major hardware upgrades.
The company said the technology is intended to address challenges, including manual facility auditing, gate congestion and fragmented coordination between gate and yard operations.
“Before implementing EAIGLE, our facility management relied strictly on traditional gate paperwork, which introduced natural visibility gaps in a fast-paced environment,” said Chris Somerville, CIO of PortCity.
“EAIGLE’s technology is helping us shift how we track assets. By capturing data automatically using our existing cameras, it provides our dispatchers and yard crews with much needed real-time tracking at our entry and exit points. It is helping us automate the gate check-in and check-out process, giving us significantly better visibility and greater confidence in what is currently on the yard.”

EAIGLE said its platform can identify trailers, containers and seals through existing camera networks, while connecting gate and yard data with transport management systems, warehouse management systems, yard management systems, enterprise resource planning tools and warehouse environments.
The company said this is designed to create a unified data stream across facility operations and support faster driver check-in, yard navigation and gate throughput.
“True gate automation and yard visibility is an operational necessity for high-throughput and high-pace logistics hubs like PortCity,” added Amir Hoss, Founder and CEO of EAIGLE.
“Our work with Chris and the PortCity team demonstrates the immediate, high-impact value that computer vision brings to facility gate operations. This partnership is a success story of EAIGLE’s technology adoption and scaling in high-throughput and high-pace logistics.”
EAIGLE also noted that it is continuing to roll out complementary modules, including its eBOL electronic bill of lading workflow system and YardSight Mobile for shunting trucks.
