Australia Makes First Fully Automated Train Journey

Rio Tinto has successfully operated its first autonomous train journey in Australia. 

The rail journey saw the fully autonomated train move iron ore from its operation in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The journey marks the beginning of a new era in logistical oeprations in which the supply chain, from train to truck to ship to port is fully automoated. 

Rio Tinto is an Australian-British global mining group that focuses on finding, mining and processing the Earth's mineral resources.
