Ashdod Port reports 40 per cent rise in Q1 2025 revenue
Ashdod Port Company Ltd. has reported a strong financial recovery in Q1 2025, with revenue reaching NIS 302 million ($84 million), a 40 per cent increase from NIS 214 million ($60 million) in Q1 2024.

The company returned to profitability with an operating profit of NIS 25 million ($7 million), compared to an operating loss of NIS 24 million ($6.7 million) in the same period last year.

Net profit for the quarter was NIS 20 million ($5.6 million), reversing a net loss of NIS 7 million ($1.9 million) in Q1 2024.

EBITDA rose significantly to NIS 57 million ($16 million), up from NIS 7 million ($1.9 million) a year earlier.

Other expenses dropped to NIS 4 million ($1.2 million), compared to NIS 8 million ($2.2 million) in the previous year.

Net finance income stood at NIS 5 million ($1.4 million), down from NIS 8 million ($2.2 million). Equity as of 31 March 2025, totalled NIS 2.77 billion ($778 million), up from NIS 2.57 million ($722 million) a year earlier.

According to Ashdod Port, performance across key cargo sectors was as follows:

  • Containers: 186,000 TEUs handled, up 11 per cent from 168,000 TEUs in Q1 2024; market share stable at 41.5 per cent.

  • Vehicles: 18,000 vehicles unloaded, more than doubling from 7,000 in the same period last year.

  • Bulk Cargo: 2.28 million tonnes handled, up from 2.11 million tonnes, with growth in potash, phosphate, cement, coal, and grain.

  • General Cargo: 359,000 tonnes moved, compared to 180,000 last year, reflecting economic recovery and higher construction demand.

In February, Ashdod Port issued a request for proposals, encouraging entrepreneurs to join the port’s marine technology cluster.
