APMT has reported that the current managing director of APM Terminals Maasvlakte II, Jan Buijzejan-Buijze, will become Regional Project Director for Africa & Europe, located in Lagos, Nigeria.
Buijzejan-Buijze’s new position will be officially effective from 1 April.
His new position will have a particular emphasis on supporting APM Terminals in Africa.
Buijzejan-Buijze has spent the past four years preparing APM Terminals Maasvlakte II for the upcoming extensive expansion project with the aim of doubling terminal’s capacity, according to APMT.
“With this key project now having received necessary stakeholder approvals, it is expected to be formalised shortly, creating an opportune moment for Buijzejan-Buijze to hand over the baton to his successor,” reported APMT.
In February 2023, APM Terminals (APMT) Mobile announced a $60 million investment in expanding its rail infrastructure capabilities to double capacity.
