An outsize load successfully left the Port of Antwerp earlier this morning on route to Norway.

Both a container crane, at a height of 69 metres and a bascule were laid onboard a pontoon in the Delwaide dock.

Due to the size of the cargo onboard, the vessel spanned an absurd 145 metres long and 89 metres wide. The load successfully passed through the Berendrecht – the largest lock in the world.

The crane is expected to arrive at the Norwegian Port of Larvick in the coming week, where it will be used as part of local container terminal operations.
